I saw this on a fellow book bloggers site The Perpetual-Page Turner and thought what a fun idea! So I decided it would be a fun post to write and to reflect back again on what I read this year, different than just saying here are my top 2016 like me other post, this gives you more insight. So I hope you enjoy and if you happen to fill it out on your blog let me know in the comments before so I can check it out and see what books I might want to read :-).
Note: The survey is for books you read throughout the year, no matter when they were published, and is not limited to just books that came out in 2016!!

1. Best Book You Read In 2016?
The Architect of Song by A.G. Howard, or Passenger by Alexandra Bracken, was a hard pick read lots of great books.
2. Book You Were Excited About & Thought You Were Going To Love More But Didn’t?
Austenland by Shannon Hale, I had watched the movie first and loved it and just felt that the book was a let down compared to the movie.
3. Most surprising (in a good way or bad way) book you read?
Infamous by Lori Sizemore, it was surprising in a good way. It was one of my first few ARCs I read and loved it.
4. Book You “Pushed” The Most People To Read (And They Did)?
Red Rising series by Pierce Brown, and yes they did read it.
5. Best series you started in 2016? Best Sequel of 2016? Best Series Ender of 2016?
Best Series Started: tough there are a few Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer, The Tiger Saga by Colleen Houck, & All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Harkness
Best Sequel: Second Grave on the Left by Darynda Jones, can’t wait to read the third.
Best Series Ender: The Book of Life by Deborah Harkness

A.G. Howard or Alexandra Bracken
7. Best book from a genre you don’t typically read/was out of your comfort zone?
Rise by Cara Brookins, I don’t typically read nonfiction & biographies but it was good and enjoyed reading it.
8. Most action-packed/thrilling/unputdownable book of the year?
Cinder by Marissa Meyer, really all three I have read so far in the series.
9. Book You Read In 2016 That You Are Most Likely To Re-Read Next Year?
Probably none, I have way too many books I want to read that I don’t ever really re-read a book.
10. Favorite cover of a book you read in 2016?
Enchanting the Fey by Rebecca Bosevski, it has a really pretty cover.
11. Most memorable character of 2016?
Cinder from the Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer or Juliet from The Architect of Song by A.G. Howard, they were both strong characters with a good sense of humor.
12. Most beautifully written book read in 2016?
The Architect of Song by A.G. Howard, I thought it was well written and just had beautiful writing in it.
13. Most Thought-Provoking/ Life-Changing Book of 2016?
Hmmm I am not really sure if any of my books were honestly life-changing besides being a good bok.
14. Book you can’t believe you waited UNTIL 2016 to finally read?
Second Grave on the Left by Darynda Jones and River God by Wilbur Smith.
15. Favorite Passage/Quote From A Book You Read In 2016?
There were quite a few, and honestly don’t remember them exactly. I just loved the witty sarcasm in the books I read.

19. Favorite Non-Romantic Relationship Of The Year
Charley and Cookie from Second Grave on the Left by Darynda Jones. I just think they have some great banter between themselves.

River God by Wilbur Smith, my mom actually recommend this one to me.

Lord Thorton from The Architect of Song or Ren from The Tiger Saga series.

Passenger by Alexandra Bracken
24. Best Worldbuilding/Most Vivid Setting You Read This Year?
Red Rising Series the world that they create seems very interesting and I felt like I could picture the different places that were described.

Second Grave on the Left by Darynda Jones and Infamous by Lori Sizemore.
26. Book That Made You Cry Or Nearly Cry in 2016?
None of the books I read this year almost made me cry so none this year, maybe next!
27. Hidden Gem Of The Year?
Slayers by C.J. Hill, it came in a book box and was a surprise fun read and want to read the rest of the series.
28. Book That Crushed Your Soul?
Again none this year crushed my soul.
29. Most Unique Book You Read In 2016?
The Nemesis Charm by Daniel Ingram-Brown.
30. Book That Made You The Most Mad (doesn’t necessarily mean you didn’t like it)?
Promise Me Once by Paige Weaver.

2. Favorite review that you wrote in 2016?
Well I have only been blogging reviews since April, but I think my favorite so far is The Architect of Song review because I got the author to respond to my tweet about it :-).
3. Best discussion/non-review post you had on your blog?
Well so far I don’t have many followers so haven’t really had a discussion.
4. Best event that you participated in (author signings, festivals, virtual events, memes, etc.)?
Again haven’t really participated in any events since I am new at this and working on it, I would say just participating in reading ARC reviews for people.
5. Best moment of bookish/blogging life in 2016?
Really just anytime I got an author I blogged about to acknowledge my tweet or even write me back.
6. Most challenging thing about blogging or your reading life this year?
Trying to get followers! I only have 5 or at least that is all that are signed up for my emails.
7. Most Popular Post This Year On Your Blog (whether it be by comments or views)?
I believe the one about my review for Infamous was the most but it was also a ton of spam posts so it was not the most popular by a good reason!
8. Post You Wished Got A Little More Love?
Ha ha all of them! I need followers people!
9. Best bookish discover (book related sites, book stores, etc.)?
Frostbeard Studio they make candles that smell like places in books!
10. Did you complete any reading challenges or goals that you had set for yourself at the beginning of this year?
I did set myself the reading goal on Goodreads and I missed it by a couple books, which stinks, last year I was over so I guess that evens out.
1. One Book You Didn’t Get To In 2016 But Will Be Your Number 1 Priority in 2017?
I am working on reading a copy of Nest by Terry Goodkind that he provided me with an honest review so want to finish that and also other ARCs I have been given.
2. Book You Are Most Anticipating For 2017 (non-debut)?
Wayfarer by Alexandra Bracken, can’t wait to see what happens next!
3. 2017 Debut You Are Most Anticipating?
The Hummingbird Heart (Haunted Hearts Legacy #2) by A.G. Howard, I can’t wait I am sure it is going to be just as good as The Architect of Song!
4. Series Ending/A Sequel You Are Most Anticipating in 2017?
It is already been out but I haven’t got to it yet so Winter by Marissa Meyer, the conclusion of The Lunar Chronicles.
5. One Thing You Hope To Accomplish Or Do In Your Reading/Blogging Life In 2017?
Attract more followers so I can get readers and have people comment on posts and engage with them.
6. A 2017 Release You’ve Already Read & Recommend To Everyone:
The Ripper’s Shadow by Laura Jon Rowland, I got to read it early from Netgalley and I loved it! So good!
