Book Description: No one ever disappears completely…
You leave for work one morning.
Another day in your normal life.
Until you come home to discover that your boyfriend has gone.
His belongings have disappeared.
He hasn’t been at work for weeks.
It’s as if he never existed.
But that’s not possible, is it?
And there is worse still to come.
Because just as you are searching for him
someone is also watching you.
I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I have to first start out and say that I truly enjoyed this book. It kept me entertained the entire time, no grammar mistakes, it had a good plot, and the twists were good.
Pretty quickly the suspense sets in with this book, you get a quick look at what is happening with Hannah and then she comes home to share good news with her boyfriend and surprise he is gone! Not just gone but everything of his has been taken from the apartment and every memory of him wiped away. At first I was thinking okay what kind of government type of conspiracy is this going to be?! Did he get kidnapped? Then you find out nope definitely not the government.
Throughout the book I found myself saying well it had to be this person who did something to him, because to me it was never in my mind that Matt was the one who was sending the texts, the calls, and going into her house. To me it was who did something to Matt and who is playing with Hannah’s mind. There are some subtle hints as you read and you go oh that would be that would be the reason they did it! Then you would get another and you were like no wait maybe it was that person.
Then you start to see the relationships between Hannah and the other characters build and I am like well I am not sure I want Matt to be found. I also was like why the heck are you friends with Katie?! Because I would not want to have a friend like her I wanted to reach into the book and just slap her. I did think though there was a good development of the characters and the way they interacted with each other.
The book definitely kept me guessing what was going to happen and even not having to do with the Matt disappearing situation there was the stuff happening at work to Hannah that didn’t have to do with Matt that threw in a twist as well. I did think I bet at the end there is going to be a twist with something that Hannah doesn’t remember happening that is going to make this play out differently. I don’t want to give too much away because the book will be better with you not know what is going to happen. I definitely recommend it though, and really enjoyed getting the chance to read and review it.
Book Rating: 4 out of 5 Stars
